Metrorail is a double-track system that runs about 25 miles and offers direct service to Miami International Airport (MIA) from various points of interest such as:
- From Kendall to South Miami
- Coral Gables and downtown Miami
- Civic Center area/Jackson Memorial Hospital; to Brownsville
- Liberty City, Hialeah and Medley through northwest Miami-Dade, with links to Broward and Palm Beach at three locations:
- Historic station, transfer to Brightline, MIA by (Orange Line) and Tri-Rail
Bicycle racks are available inside Metrorail cars and can be boarded at any Metrorail station.
Payment options for Metrorail use are through contactless payment by:
- EASY Card
- EASY Ticket
- Application GO Miami-Dade Transit
Cash is also accepted for the purchase of a bolero or an EASY card, which can be obtained from vending machines located at Metrorail stations and other designated locations.
Metrorail starts running at 5 a.m. until midnight every day of the week. You can travel without purchasing a ticket by paying directly on board known as contactless payment.
Trains run every half hour, with more frequent service between Saturday and Sunday, where it runs every 15 minutes.
Stop location
It departs from Miami Central Station linked to the terminals via the free Metromover (MIA Mover) service.
Green Line
The Green Line takes you to Palmetto, Hialeah, Okeechobee, Tri-Rail, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Brownsville and Northside stations.
Orange Line
The line train takes you to Dadeland North., South Miami, Coconut Grove, Douglas Road, Vizcaya, Government Center, Brickell, Culmer, Civic Center, Historic Overtown/Lyric Theatre, Santa Clara, Earlington Heights y Allapattah.
