Several taxis are available at MIA. The official Miami-Dade County taxis operate from the airport. Passengers can find these taxis at the arrival terminal, near the baggage claim areas. Additionally, it is possible to request a taxi online or through a mobile app.
Taxi drivers can also pick up passengers at the departure terminal, but it is necessary to call in advance to specify the exact location. The base fare for traveling by taxi from MIA is $2.40, with an additional charge of $2.00 per mile and a minimum of $25.50. An extra fee of $1 per piece of luggage is charged.

For transfers from different city locations to the airport, it’s recommended to schedule the pickup 2 to 3 hours before the flight.
For pickups from the airport, the cost includes up to one hour of waiting in case of flight delays. If the waiting time exceeds an hour, an additional $10 will be charged for each extra half hour.
